Blood test may predict chemo success in breast cancer

NCT ID NCT06087120

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood test that measures circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) can help predict how well breast cancer responds to chemotherapy before surgery. Researchers will take blood samples from 125 women with stage II or III breast cancer before, during, and after treatment. The goal is to see if changes in ctDNA levels, alone or with MRI scans, can forecast a complete response to therapy.
