Blood test could speed up chemo decisions for pancreatic cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07096362

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 27, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study is for people with metastatic pancreatic cancer who are starting their first chemotherapy. Researchers want to see if a blood test that measures tumor DNA (ctDNA) can detect whether the cancer is shrinking or growing much earlier than the usual 8-week scan. If successful, this could help doctors switch treatments sooner for those not benefiting. The study involves 50 participants and is currently recruiting.
