First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood test that detects tiny bits of tumor DNA (called ctDNA) can help doctors decide who needs extra chemotherapy after stomach cancer surgery. About 304 people with advanced stomach cancer will be randomly assigned to either standard care or treatment guided by the blood test. The goal is to see if using the test can reduce unnecessary treatments and side effects without harming survival.
