Brain zapping therapy could tame anxiety without drugs

Summary

This study tests a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation method called cTBS to see if it can reduce anxiety in people with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Forty adults will receive either real or placebo stimulation three times daily for a week. Researchers will use brain scans to see how the treatment affects brain activity and will check anxiety levels before, after, and two weeks later.
