Faster cancer diagnosis? study tests if new CT scan can replace MRI

NCT ID NCT07343271

Summary

This study aims to see if a special type of CT scan can work as well as an MRI for diagnosing oral and throat cancers. Currently, patients need both scans, which can delay treatment. Researchers will compare results from both imaging methods in 30 adult patients to determine if the faster CT scan provides equally accurate information about tumor size and spread.
