Summary
This study aimed to find out if ultrasound could be a safer and cheaper alternative to CT scans for monitoring patients after a minimally invasive abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. Researchers followed 659 patients who had both types of scans to see which method was better at spotting complications that might need further treatment. The goal was to reduce patients' exposure to radiation and contrast dye from repeated CT scans.
