Heart scan study aims to cut risks for bypass patients
NCT ID NCT07165678
Summary
This study aims to see if using a CT heart scan before a standard invasive angiogram can reduce the risk of death, heart attack, stroke, and hospital stays for people with prior bypass surgery who have chest pain or a heart attack. Researchers will compare 1,000 participants randomly assigned to either get the CT scan first or go straight to the standard angiogram. The goal is to determine if the scan-guided approach is safer, more effective, and improves quality of life.
