Could a simple scan replace invasive heart tests?
NCT ID NCT06689267
Summary
This study tested if starting with a special CT scan could help doctors diagnose a type of heart attack without needing an invasive angiogram for all patients. It involved 180 people with suspected heart attacks and compared the CT-first approach to the standard practice of immediate angiography. The goal was to see if the scan could accurately identify who truly needed the more invasive procedure.
