Simple scan could catch dangerous surgery complications before It's too late

NCT ID NCT02814812

Summary

This study tested if a CT scan done one week after pancreas surgery could find hidden complications that doctors might otherwise miss. Researchers enrolled 80 patients who had scheduled pancreas surgery to see if this scan, done before sending patients home, could help predict problems. The goal was to improve patient safety by catching issues like leaks or infections earlier.
