First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a cold therapy device that also applies gentle compression works better for pain relief than cold therapy alone after common knee, shoulder, or hip surgeries. It involves 348 adult military-affiliated patients who are having one of these procedures. Participants are randomly assigned to use one of the two recovery methods at home, and they track their pain levels, medication use, and overall recovery.
