Summary

This study tested whether using cold saline (cryotherapy) and the diabetes drug metformin inside the tooth could lower pain after root canal treatment. 80 adults with infected teeth were split into four groups, receiving either standard medicine, metformin, cold therapy plus standard medicine, or cold therapy plus metformin. Patients rated their pain daily for a week to see which approach worked best.
