Ice baths put to the test: does cold really help you bounce back?
NCT ID NCT02506283
Summary
This study aimed to find out if applying cold therapy helps healthy young people recover from hard exercise and perform better. Researchers tested two things: cooling after exercise to see if it speeds up recovery, and cooling before exercise to see if it boosts muscle strength. They measured things like jump height, muscle soreness, and how hard the exercise felt.
