New tool aims to unlock mystery of devastating childhood gut disease
NCT ID NCT03566160
Summary
This study is testing a new, less invasive biopsy tool called a cryobiopsy probe. Researchers want to see if it works as well as the standard method for collecting small tissue samples from the gut. The long-term goal is to use this tool to better understand a serious childhood gut disease that causes malnutrition and stunting in millions of children worldwide, especially in areas with limited medical resources.
