Summary
This study tested a new antibiotic called CRS3123 against a standard treatment (vancomycin) for adults with a C. diff infection, a serious gut infection that causes severe diarrhea. The goal was to see if CRS3123 is safe and effective at stopping the infection. About 43 adults with a first or returning C. diff infection took part, receiving either CRS3123 or vancomycin for 10 days.
