Summary
This phase 2 study tested an experimental antibiotic called CRS3123 against the standard treatment vancomycin for Clostridioides difficile infection (C. diff). 43 adults with a first episode or first recurrence of C. diff took either CRS3123 or vancomycin for 10 days. The main goal was to see if CRS3123 could safely cure the infection as effectively as vancomycin.
