First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at how a cross training program—including cycling, lunges, cobra pose, and interval running—affects flexibility, endurance, and speed in sprinters. Fifty-two male recreational sprinters aged 18 to 30 took part. The goal is to see if mixing different exercises can help sprinters perform better and stay healthier.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Cross training protocol (cycling, lunges, cobra pose, running intervals)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward better training methods for sprinters to improve performance and reduce injury risk.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed study with only 52 male recreational sprinters, so results may not apply to elite athletes or females. It measures short-term fitness changes, not long-term outcomes.
