Gentle exercise, big gains: new study tests blood flow training for seniors
NCT ID NCT07155967
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special low-load exercise method, called blood flow restriction training, can help older women build leg strength and improve mobility. Researchers will have 32 participants do one-legged exercises while wearing a cuff that limits blood flow, aiming to see if the untrained leg also gets stronger. The goal is to find a safe, easy way for seniors to stay active and reduce fall risk.
