Can a more extensive surgery stop Crohn's disease from coming back?
NCT ID NCT06324838
Summary
This study is testing if a more extensive surgical removal of tissue during Crohn's disease surgery can prevent the disease from returning. It will involve 204 adults with Crohn's disease in the last part of the small intestine who need surgery. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard surgery or the new, more extensive procedure, and doctors will check a year later to see if the disease has come back.
