Could Crohn's patients skip the dreaded bowel prep for scans?

NCT ID NCT05354609

Summary

This study is testing a new, simpler type of MRI scan to monitor inflammation in people with Crohn's disease. The goal is to see if this faster scan, which doesn't require a bowel-cleansing prep or an injection of contrast dye, works as well as the standard, more complex MRI scan. Researchers will compare the two scan methods in 140 adult patients with Crohn's disease to see if the simpler one can accurately track the disease.
