Opening the door: First-Ever tools created for excluded Crohn's patients

NCT ID NCT06670638

Summary

This study aims to create new measurement tools so that people with Crohn's disease who have a permanent ileostomy can finally be included in future treatment trials. Researchers will work with about 50 participants to develop two tools: one based on patient interviews about their symptoms and experiences, and another based on reviewing videos of their standard medical scopes. The goal is to establish reliable ways to measure disease activity specifically for this patient group, who have historically been left out of research.
