Blood test aims to predict best Crohn's drug, boosting remission odds

Summary
This study is testing if a new blood test that analyzes epigenetic markers can help doctors choose the most effective biologic drug for adults with active Crohn's disease. About 378 participants will be randomly assigned to have their treatment selected either by this new test or by the current standard method. The main goal is to see if the test-guided approach leads to better control of symptoms and gut healing after 26 weeks of treatment.
