Teeth tell a tale: researchers hunt for Crohn's disease clues in dental metals

NCT ID NCT03706196

Summary

This study aimed to understand if environmental factors, like exposure to metals, might be linked to why some areas have more cases of Crohn's disease than others. Researchers compared the chemical makeup of teeth from 14 adults living in high-incidence and low-incidence areas of Crohn's disease in France. The goal was to gather clues about potential environmental causes, not to test a treatment.
