Can thinking smarter make you play smarter? study tests new volleyball training
NCT ID NCT07253597
Summary
This study tested whether adding a special thinking program to regular volleyball practice could help players make better decisions during games. Researchers compared two groups of 24 university-level male volleyball players in Colombia. One group did their usual training, while the other group added 4 weeks of structured discussions and tactical problem-solving during practice. The goal was to see if this 'thinking' training improved players' choices for serving, receiving, and spiking more than standard drills alone.
