What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Crisaborole 2% ointment and Tacrolimus 0.1% ointment
What this could lead to
If crisaborole works as well as or better than tacrolimus, it could offer a safer, steroid-free option for managing eczema in children.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 66 participants, so results may not apply to all children. Both treatments can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions.
