Summary
This study tests a new medicine called BI 764524, given as an eye injection, in 190 adults with moderate to severe diabetic retinopathy. Participants receive different numbers of injections over a year, and doctors check for eye improvements and side effects. The goal is to see if the drug can slow or improve the disease compared to a sham procedure.
