Summary
This study tested whether adding a targeted drug called crenolanib to standard chemotherapy could better control a specific type of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that had returned or not responded to prior treatment. It involved 106 adults aged 75 or younger whose cancer had a specific genetic change (FLT3 mutation). The goal was to see if this combination could help patients live longer without their cancer progressing.
