Can a common gym supplement help divers hold their breath longer?
NCT ID NCT07233707
Summary
This study is testing whether taking creatine monohydrate, a common sports supplement, can improve exercise performance while holding one's breath. Researchers are enrolling 26 trained breath-hold divers to see if creatine helps them cycle farther and longer on a single breath compared to a placebo. The goal is to understand if this supplement can delay muscle fatigue during the unique, oxygen-limited exercise of breath-hold diving.
