Doctors hunt for clues to stop superbug infections in sickest kids

NCT ID NCT04535661

Summary

This study looks back at medical records to understand what makes children in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) more likely to get or carry dangerous, drug-resistant bacteria called CRE. Researchers will analyze data from over 500 children hospitalized between 2018 and 2019. The goal is to identify risk factors to help protect future patients from these hard-to-treat infections.
