First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) can help predict future heart problems in people with coronary heart disease. Researchers will review medical records from 15,000 patients and follow them over time to see which ones have heart attacks or other serious events. No new treatments are being tested—the goal is to better understand how exercise test results relate to long-term heart health.
