Brain test may predict who gives up on sleep apnea treatment
NCT ID NCT04557293
Summary
This study aims to understand why many people with obstructive sleep apnea don't use their CPAP machine consistently, which is the best treatment. Researchers will test if a person's decision-making style, specifically how they weigh effort versus reward, predicts poor adherence. They will compare cognitive tests in patients before starting CPAP and after six months of use.
