First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This completed study followed 300 obese adults (BMI over 30) who were prescribed positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy for sleep-disordered breathing. Researchers measured how many patients used their CPAP machine for at least 4 hours per night on 70% of nights within the first 90 days and again after one year. The goal was to understand real-world adherence and its impact on mortality.
