Summary
This study intentionally exposed a small group of healthy, vaccinated young adults to the Omicron BA.5 virus. The goal was to find a safe dose of the virus that reliably causes a mild infection, so researchers can better study how COVID-19 works. Participants were closely monitored in quarantine for safety and to track their symptoms and immune response.
