Scientists probe why COVID survivors struggle to breathe
NCT ID NCT04854863
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some people feel tired and out of breath long after being hospitalized for severe COVID-19. Researchers measured the strength and function of breathing muscles in 50 survivors, half of whom needed a ventilator. The goal was to create a model to explain the problem and show if special breathing exercises during recovery could help.
