Could baby shampoo and mouthwash stop COVID spread?
NCT ID NCT04802408
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple 4-day routine of rinsing the nose with a diluted baby shampoo solution and gargling with Listerine mouthwash can reduce the amount of COVID-19 virus in recently infected adults. Researchers are comparing this combined approach to using just saline rinses or using each rinse separately. The goal is to see if this safe, low-cost method could help lower how much virus people shed, potentially reducing transmission to others.
