Scientists scan lungs to unlock COVID's Long-Term secrets
NCT ID NCT04841707
Summary
This study aimed to understand how COVID-19 affects the lungs by comparing detailed PET scans from 13 recovered patients to scans from healthy people. Researchers looked for changes in how glucose moves into lung tissue, which can indicate damage. They also scanned the same patients again four months later to see if these changes improved over time.
