Did COVID-19 lockdowns disrupt MS relapse care? study investigates

NCT ID NCT04858763

Summary

This study looked back to see if the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic changed how people with multiple sclerosis (MS) reported and received care for their symptom flare-ups (relapses). Researchers compared 51 patients who had a relapse during April-June 2020 with a similar group from the same months in 2019. The goal was to understand if pandemic disruptions led to differences in seeking help or getting treatments like steroids.
