Tracking the hidden scars of COVID-19 in ICU survivors

NCT ID NCT04609839

Summary

This study aimed to understand the long-term health problems people might face after surviving a severe COVID-19 infection that required intensive care. Researchers planned to follow patients for a year after leaving the hospital, checking for issues with their lungs, heart, kidneys, brain, and mental health. The goal was to gather information to improve care for future patients, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
