Summary
This study looked back at the medical records of 20 children who were hospitalized with a serious heart condition called myocarditis while also having COVID-19. Researchers wanted to describe what happened to these children and figure out if the virus directly damaged their hearts or if it was caused by the body's own immune response. The goal was to better understand this rare but severe complication in children.
