Summary
This study aimed to understand why people have such different reactions to COVID-19 and influenza. Researchers collected detailed biological samples from 249 adults—some with COVID-19, some with flu, and some healthy—at different stages of illness. By analyzing this data, they hoped to build a map of the body's complex response to infection, which could one day help doctors provide more personalized care.
