Doctors investigate hidden eye damage in COVID-19 ICU patients
NCT ID NCT04385810
Summary
This study aimed to understand what eye problems develop in COVID-19 patients who are critically ill in the intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers examined the eyes of 23 patients at different times during their hospital stay to look for damage to the cornea, retina, and optic nerve. The goal was to gather information to help doctors better monitor and potentially prevent vision loss in future patients.
