First human test for new COVID pill begins
NCT ID NCT05532293
Summary
This was the first study in people to test the safety of a new oral drug called MSP008-22, which is being developed to treat COVID-19. It involved 64 healthy adult volunteers who received either the drug or a placebo (a dummy pill) to check for side effects and see how the drug moves through the body. The results will help decide the right doses to test for effectiveness in future studies with COVID-19 patients.
