Real-World data on CPAP for COVID-19 respiratory failure

NCT ID NCT04307459

First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at 250 COVID-19 patients with severe breathing problems who were treated with a CPAP machine (a mask that pushes air into the lungs). Researchers collected information on how many patients survived, how many needed a breathing tube, and what happened over 6 months. The goal was to learn from real-life hospital care, not to test a new drug or cure.
