Summary
This study reviewed medical records of 417 adults hospitalized with COVID-19 at four hospitals. Researchers wanted to find out how many patients also had other infections (co-infections) or developed new infections later. They also looked at how these infections affected death rates and length of hospital stay. The goal was to better understand the full picture of COVID-19 in hospitalized patients.
