Summary
This study reviewed medical records of 417 adults hospitalized with COVID-19 at four hospitals. Researchers wanted to find out how many patients also had other infections (co-infections) or got new infections later. They also looked at whether these extra infections affected death rates and how long patients stayed in the hospital. The goal was to better understand the full picture of COVID-19 in hospitalized patients.
