Scientists test nasal spray COVID booster in new trial

NCT ID NCT05205746

Summary

This study tested a new COVID-19 booster vaccine in people who were already vaccinated. Researchers wanted to see if a single dose, given as either a shot in the arm or a nasal spray, could safely boost the body's immune defenses against the virus. They compared the new vaccine to a placebo (a dummy treatment) in 158 healthy adults in Mexico City.
