Scientists search blood for clues to COVID-19 severity

NCT ID NCT04587323

Summary

This study aimed to understand why some people with COVID-19 get much sicker than others. Researchers measured levels of specific proteins in the blood of 75 adult patients who tested positive for COVID-19. They wanted to see if these protein levels were linked to severe outcomes like needing a ventilator, organ failure, or death.
