Summary

This study tested an experimental drug called S-892216 to see if it could reduce the amount of COVID-19 virus in people recently infected. It involved 282 adults with mild-to-moderate symptoms who started treatment within 3 days of feeling sick. The main goal was to measure how much the drug lowered virus levels in the nose and throat and if it helped people recover from symptoms more quickly.
