Healthy Workers' COVID antibodies tracked for a year

NCT ID NCT04369066

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This completed study followed nearly 2,000 healthy employees from Institut Curie and Institut Pasteur to see how their immune systems responded to the SARS-CoV-2 virus over time. Participants gave blood samples at four points over a year to test for antibodies. The goal was to learn how long antibodies last and how common past infection was in this group.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this study could help us understand how long COVID-19 antibodies last in healthy people and improve future testing strategies.

What could go wrong

This is an observational study, not a treatment trial. It only measures antibodies and cannot determine protection from infection or severe disease.
