First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tested a new type of therapy for veterans who have suicidal thoughts and their romantic partners. The therapy, called TR&ST, combines suicide prevention techniques with couples counseling to improve communication and reduce suicide risk. 104 veterans and their partners took part in the study, which compared the new therapy to standard VA care. The goal was to see if involving a partner could help lower suicidal thoughts more effectively.
