Summary

This study tested whether a type of counseling called interpersonal psychotherapy could help people on hemodialysis adjust to their illness and feel less depressed. 48 adults on dialysis for at least 6 months took part. For 8 weeks, some received the counseling while others got usual care. The goal was to see if talking through relationship and emotional issues improves well-being.
