Cough cure showdown: which medicine really works?

NCT ID NCT06907355

Summary

This study tested three common cough medicines against a placebo to see which works best for adults with colds. 184 adults with moderate to severe coughs took either levodropropizine, codeine combination, ivy leaf extract, or a dummy pill for 4 days. Researchers measured how quickly and effectively each treatment reduced cough severity to help doctors choose the best option.
